Word processing document is one of the key topics to consider as a candidate. I.C.T examination for BECE and WASSCE is not without a question about word processing documents.
 It is a luckily topic for both section in I.C.T examination in Ghana as always expected by I.C.T teacher every year.

WHAT IS A WORD PROCESSOR APPLICATION?

Word processing application is a type of application software or program that is used to create, edit and save text-based files or documents.


It is also known as the Text Editor program

There are many examples of word processor applications. Some of these are
  1. Notepad 
  2. Word Pad
  3. MS Word
  4. Easy Word
  5. Word Perfect

Note:
Word processor applications are used to create text or word processing document on the computer.

OPENING / STARTING WORD PROCESSING APPLICATION 
To create a text or word document, the first thing to do is to launch a word processor application (e.g. MS office word 2007)
STEPS TO START MS WORD (On window XP and windows 7 computer)
 
 

  1. Click on the start button
  2.  Click on Program button
  3. Click on Microsoft office
  4. Select Microsoft word

CREATING NEW WORD DOCUMENT IN MS WORD 
Steps/Procedure To Create A New Word Document In MS Word

  1. Launch MS word
  2. Click on File/Office button 
  3. Click on New
  4. Select Blank Document
  5. Click on Create
  6. Type in / Enter the desire text content
  7. Save the Document
